Join us as we welcome one of our favorite Rockford bands, The Fresh Hot Fritters to The Olympic Tavern. Show starts around 10 pm - never a cover charge.
The Fresh Hot Fritters are a Rockford quartet that play an unusual mix of Rockabilly and other fun, slightly twangy stuff. You're almost certain to here things you haven't heard before, and the stuff you do recognize won't be the stuff you hear other bands doing. Please check it out if you're looking for something fun and slightly off the beaten path.
The Fritters are (in order of beauty):
Rob Bradley on Telecasters and big-fat Gretsches.
Pat Doherty on small drumkit and angel-like singing.
Rick Nolting on Up-right, Dogbone, Stand-up, Double bass (Think Giant Violin without a bow) and basso vocals.
Trip Thieneman on not-as-good-as-Rob-but-not-bad guitars and nearly unintelligible singing.
